During the Monday’s TT Superbike race, Honda Racing’s Guy Martin crashed at speeds of around 120mph on Doran’s bend during his first lap. Guy reported that the bike went into false neutral, causing him to hit the kerb and take a tumble.

Thankfully, Guy Martin was quick to his feet after the crash, scrambling to safety ahead of Peter Hickman coming through Doran’s – and walked away from the crash with only a bruised wrist.
Speaking to ITV4, he both looked and sounded shaken by the incident – and when asked if that was it for the SP2 at the 2017 TT, Guy looked contemplative and said, “it’s just time, it needs time to make it better – and it doesn’t like me, and it doesn’t like John does it.”
In the interview, it doesn’t sound like Guy has a huge amount of confidence in the Honda, and yet he still remains hopeful he’ll be able to continue the rest of his TT 2017 campaign. But, after sitting out yesterday’s Supersport TT race, and with the rain bombarding the mountain course over the last few days, time is surely running out for Guy’s faith to be restored in the HRC Honda’s ahead of the fast approaching Senior TT.
