TT 2017: Championship still up for grabs on final day of racing

With the Sidecar, Privateer and overall Joey Dunlop Championships coming to conclusion with today’s races, there is still all to play for at this year’s Isle of Man TT.

Kicking off today’s TT race schedule is the TT Zero Race, followed by second Sidecar TT Race, with the Senior TT finishing the day’s action – so race fans are in for an action packed final day on the island.

With strong results for Peter Hickman and Ian Hutchinson throughout the week, there are only five points in it at the top of the Joey Dunlop Championship leaderboard – while Michael Dunlop and Dan Kneen are also close enough to still be in with a shot at this year’s Championship.

In the Sidecar title fight, new lap record holders and Sidecar TT Race one winners Ben and Tom Birchall are clear favourites, but there’s a strong field out behind them, who’ll be snapping at their heels for a win. And on the Privateer front, Horst Saiger has had an excellent week of racing, which has put him 15 points clear of Sam West in the Privateers Championship, with Jamie Coward a further five points back.

All that we’re sure of is that there’s a thrilling day of racing ahead of us – no matter how the final standings end up.

12.15 – SES TT Zero (1 lap)
13.15 – Sure Sidecar Race 2 (3 laps)
15.15 – PokerStars Senior TT (6 laps)
