Keep your eyes on the road with REYEDR HUD

The REYEDR HUD is an innovative new heads-up display system that shows speed, navigation, distance and more. It runs in unison with the REYEDR smartphone app, which provides key information about the bike, route and ride group. It also offers the ability to alert emergency services in the event of an accident.

Essentially, the REYEDR HUD is an opto-electro-mechanical system, including a visual interface which is powered by patented holographic technology. The image itself is generated through a bespoke LCOS system designed to work in all ambient light conditions, and displays at a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels. In layman’s terms, the unit fits on the chinbar of any full face motorcycle helmet, and projects a transparent screen in the periphery of the motorcyclist’s vision – allowing riders to keep their eyes on the road while still maintaining awareness of key riding information.

The graphical user interface is cleverly designed to be non-distracting – but, the colours change to draw your attention to important information when necessary. For example, when using the navigation feature, the direction arrows and distance information change from green to orange to red when approaching a turn. Similarly, speed colours change from green to orange when approaching a speed limit, and will turn red when riding above the speed limit.

The system connects to its accompanying social-ready smartphone app (compatible with iOS and Android devices) via Bluetooth 5.0 – and offers group ride setup, route planning, and navigation. Motorcyclists can also find interesting rides and connect with a larger community of bikers that share similar interests – plus, riders can save photos and a map of their route for a personal log, which they can then share with other users.
