After being proclaimed MX world champion for the ninth time and recently tying the knot with his wife Jill, Cairoli has been out in Valencia doing some laps aboard a MotoGP spec KTM RC16.
Kitted out head to toe in leather, with the numbers ‘222’ on the front of the bike, Cairoli set off around the Spanish circuit – and by the looks of the photo’s currently doing the round, he was having a great time.
After a few laps, Cairoli said: “KTM has made me a precious gift. I just married Jill but since you do not have the opportunity to ride a MotoGP every day, I ran to Valencia. I’m still excited…riding this bike is an incredible pleasure. The braking is crazy, but it’s all in the big: power, acceleration, manageability. It is difficult to find the limit, the bike is perfect and with a lot of curve grip. In a straight line I’ve gone through the 300 km / h, for me, I’m not used to this speed, it’s a whirlwind of adrenaline.”
