Ducati has today announced that production for its all-new Panigale V4 is in full swing, with the game-changing machine now widely available throughout its European dealer network.
In case you’ve been hiding under a rock for the last few months – the Panigale V4 is the first production Ducati to mount a 4-cylinder engine, derived directly from its MotoGP Desmosedici powerplant. Basically, the Panigale V4 is as close you’re going to get to a MotoGP bike on the road. I mean, its power/weight ratio of 1.1 hp/kg speaks for itself…
Jorge Lorenzo has shown a big interest in Ducati’s new V4 superbike from the outset – and after the 2018 Ducati Team presentation earlier this week, he visited the production line in Bologna, taking the opportunity to talk with product engineers and get to know all the iconic Italian brands exciting new model.
Production began in the middle of November last year, and by the end of 2017, Ducati managed to produce around 500 motorcycles, which were shipped out across Europe. And, over the next few weeks, Ducati aims to have the Panigale V4 available to the rest of the world.
