The V4-powered Aprilia RSV4 RF is undeniably one of the best 1000cc superbikes on the market right now. And now the iconic Italian brand has revealed it’ll be bringing a limited edition WINGED version of the RSV4 RF to market (in the USA).

Drawing inspiration from Aprilia’s MotoGP program, where aerodynamics have been a driving force for innovation over the last few seasons, the Aprilia RSV4 RF LE will actually be the first production superbike with winglets. Cool right?

Interestingly, the new winged RSV4 comes in line with the World Superbike Championship putting rules into place that would allow manufacturers to run winglets, so long as they come standard on their homologated machine. Coincidence? We think not.

Sadly, the RSV4 RF LE is only available in small numbers at the minute – for 100 lucky people in the USA and 25 in Canada. We spoke to Aprilia UK, to find out if there’s a chance that the new winged RSV4 will be making it to British shores too. And although there’s no official plans at the minute, it hasn’t been ruled out.
