The top two riders in the Championship standing are the early pace setters at the Angel Nieto Circuit in Jerez, Spain during free practice one.
Championship leader Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) drew first blood at the Gran Premio Red Bull de España, with rival Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) just 0.007 seconds behind the Italian.
Mostly impressively, fresh off the back of a new KTM deal, Pol Espargaro (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) turned in some excellent times too, ending FP1 just 0.043 off Dovizioso’s quickest time.
And with a second covering the top 18 riders, the Spanish GP is already shaping up to be a thriller. We can’t wait. For the latest results, throughout the weekend, visit: www.motogp.com
