The team at the MotorLand Aragon circuit will name Turn 10 on the track to six-time World Champion Marc Marquez in recognition of the Spaniard’s MotoGP success.

The renaming ceremony will take place when the paddock heads to Alcañiz for Round 14, which will be held on Thursday 20th of September, one day before track action begins.

Details of the ceremony are being kept secret until then, but fans who buy their Aragon GP tickets on July 10th  between 10am and 10pm (until the allocation has sold out) will be able to attend the ceremony, along with Marquez’ official fan club.

Marquez holds the record for the most podium finishes at Aragon, while also taking pole position six times at the circuit. He said: “I feel very comfortable there, and it is one of the most favorite tracks in the world. The first and last sector of MotorLand are quite technical and you have to work well on the set-up of the bike to have a good step on the curve. All the people of Lérida go to Aragón instead of Montmeló because they live a little bit closer.”
