Italian went fastest by over six tenths but both he and the Championship leader suffered crashes ahead of the race in Aragon
Despite a crash at Turn 2, Andrea Iannone (Team Suzuki Ecstar) ended morning Warm Up at the Gran Premio Movistar de Aragon on top of the timesheets to lead the field by over six tenths of a second after setting a 1:47.888, with Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) second and Championship leader Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) third – the latter losing the front at Turn 1, the first time he’s crashed more than once in a single weekend since the Catalan GP.
Cal Crutchlow (LCR Honda Castrol) ended the session in fourth, exactly where he’ll launch from in the race, with Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) rounding out the top five – what can ‘The Doctor’ do from P17 on the grid?
Pole man Jorge Lorenzo (Ducati Team) was P11 as he prepares to face off once more with teammate Dovizioso and Marquez in what looks to be another mesmerising MotoGP™ race. Don’t miss the action as the premier class fight for glory at 14:00 local time (GMT +2).
Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing Team Gresini) was another faller in the session, the Spaniard losing the front of his RS-GP at Turn 3 – rider ok.
