After its journey across the Atlantic from Argentina, the Yamaha Ténéré 700 has finally arrived in Europe as part of its World Raid Tour. This time it was Nick Sanders who got the chance to put Yamaha’s hotly anticipated lightweight adventure machine through its paces – ahead of the big bike shows in Cologne and Milan over the next few weeks.
After close to two years of teasing since unveiling the first prototype at EICMA – it seems like Yamaha could finally be ready to unveil its all-new Ténéré 700. As part of the World Raid Tour, Yamaha has taken its Ténéré 700 across the world, showcasing its latest machine and documenting its journey with a range of beautifully shot videos of it being put through its paces by an eclectic mix of top level riders. It all stated in Australia with Rodney Fagotter at the helm, before heading to Morocco with Stephane Peterhansel and then on to Argentina with Adrien van Beveren . And now, it has arrived in Europe under the watchful gaze of round the world adventurer Nick Sanders.
Next up on the list of riders to put the T7 through its paces in Europe is David Frétigné, Herbert Schwarz, Cristóbal Guerrero and Alessandro Botturi. And who knows – maybe one of them is set to bring it to Cologne or Milan for an official unveiling. We hope so.Get MoreBikes delivered through your letterbox every month. 12 issues for £15.
