A bike builder in India has created a special version of the iconic Yamaha RD350. He’s not done a typical custom job – the bike’s not been chopped or café racer-ed – instead, he’s kitted out his RD350 with top quality disc brakes and an ABS unit.
There’s no denying that Yamaha’s RD350 is an iconic machine. When it was first introduced, the bike won the hearts and minds of motorcyclists worldwide – and to this day, there’s still a lot of affection for Yamaha’s little two-stroker. That’s why one bike builder in India has decided to upgrade his RD, and kit it out with the latest technology and equipment.
The RD350 has always had a reputation for not having the best brakes – and that’s why bike builder and restorer Jassi has decided to kit his bike out with twin Brembo discs and Nissin calipers, borrowed from a Honda CB650F. That’s not all – he’s also added a Suzuki single-channel ABS system, a brake cylinder and clutch master slave cylinder from a Yamaha V-MAX and a hydraulic clutch and slave cylinder from a Suzuki Hayabusa.
