Berlin-based video production company Studio Kippenberger has produced a fantastic twenty minute documentary about the Isle of Man TT. It’s a beautifully shot, atmospheric impression of the iconic racing event, following multiple-time winner John McGuinness, Privateer Ian Lougher (and his wife Asa), and Newcomer Tom McHale throughout the two weeks of motorcycling madness on the tiny island in the middle of the Irish Sea.

If you’ve not heard of Studio Kippenberger before – it’s a world renowned team of filmmakers headed up by Christopher Kippenberger which has made a name for itself with a range of motorsport short films over the last few years. But its new Isle of Man TT film is the one that stands out, winning the Gold for Best Event Coverage at the London Motor Film Festival while receiving praise and plaudits from the wider motorcycle world.

If you’ve got twenty minutes to spare, you should watch it. After all, what better way to start this wet and windy week than look back on the glorious summer of racing on the Isle of Man.
