Here’s the latest addition to the SHARK Helmets range for 2019 – a brace of Johann Zarco replica paint jobs on the Race-R Pro helmet. Both are on sale in the UK now.
The Race-R Pro Zarco Grand Prix de France WBR is a red, white, black and blue scheme with a gloss finish, while the Race-R Pro Zarco Grand Prix de France KAR comes in matt black, grey and red. Both feature the number 5 on each side and Zarco’s distinctive logo on the back.
Made from carbon aramid fibre, the helmet features a double blade spoiler to stop helmet ‘wobble’ at higher speeds and an optical class one visor with variable density – the visor is 2.8mm around the edges and 4.25mm in the centre – which SHARK claims gives near perfect optical quality.

The visor has a patented four anchor point visor safety lock and is treated with an anti-scratch treatment outside and an anti-fog treatment inside. The helmet fastens securely using a double D-ring strap with the excess strap tucking away by use of a magnet. The lid’s interior is removable and washable, too.
