MotoGP: Schedule for the 2019 Qatar round this weekend

Here’s the full schedule for the first round of MotoGP 2019. Yes, we’re all very excited indeed!

Not long to go now before 2019 properly gets underway in the artificial lights of Qatar.

The moment we’ve all been waiting for is nearly here. The 2019 MotoGP World Championship revs back into life on Friday 8th March with FP1 and FP2, Saturday 9th with qualifying and of course, Sunday 10th with the first races of the season.

The lightweight class get the ball rolling with FP1 on Friday at 13:50 local time (GMT+3), with Moto2 FP1 starting at 14:45 before the premier class head out at 15:40, with MotoGP FP2 ending Friday’s action at 20:00.

Make sure you keep an eye out as Saturday’s on-track action takes on a new look this season. It begins as usual with all three FP3 sessions, before Moto3 adopt the Qualifying 1 and 2 format at 17:30 local time (GMT+3) , like we see in MotoGP.

Moto2 then do the same, with Q1 for the intermediate class beginning at 18:25(GMT+3) , before the premier class end Saturday with FP4, Q1 and Q2 – the battle for the first pole position of the year gets going at 20:25 local time.

Race day begins at 14:40 Doha time (GMT+3) with Moto3 Warm Up, before lights go out for the first time in 2019 at 17:00 with the lightweight class riders going for glory. Moto2 launch at 18:20, before the big one gets underway: the MotoGP race starting at 20:00 under the lights.
