Jorge Lorenzo’s father, Chico, has just opened an all new race school in Madrid – to teach his specific method of riding to future generations of MotoGP champions.
In the town of Algete, close to Madrid, Chicho Lorenzo has opened a new facility for young racers to learn the art and science of riding a motorcycle. And it looks like one hell of a set-up – with 600 square meters of covered tarmac, padded walls, a load of pit bikes, high-handlebar minibikes, electric bikes, and a SuperSport 600 too.
The school will offer training to children aged between 2 and 15 years, race fans who want to learn and practice Lorenzo’s secrets, and of course, Chico offers training for serious racers who are looking to improve their skills.
Chicho Lorenzo said: “There are riders who started with us, like Augusto Fernández, who made an impressive season last year and who has reached the top through the back door. We have seen some riders like Dani Pedrosa, who is very fine, also in Jorge, who are at the top because they do it well. Each pilot has his style, there are variations and that is what we study.”
Jorge Lorenzo said: “There is a quarry, like Jorge Martín, but we must not relax, because in Italy they are very strong, and the golden age of making triplets every weekend is now more complicated. The Italians are on our heels. “
