Nakagami joins his teammate in the second part of qualifying but the two multiple World Champions don’t make it, with Lorenzo crashing

Cal Crutchlow (LCR Honda Castrol) and Takaaki Nakagami (LCR Honda Idemitsu) will battle it out in Q2 at the VisitQatar Grand Prix after topping the timesheets in Q1, but two big names miss out.
Jorge Lorenzo (Repsol Honda Team) will start 15th, a crash in Q1 ending his hopes of a Q2 spot, with Valentino Rossi (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) only managing a time good enough for P14.
Tito Rabat (Reale Avintia Racing) and Johann Zarco (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) joined Lorenzo in crashing at Turn 2 – riders ok.
