So this is a bitsa-special made by Indian firm HDT Customs – and you’ve got to admit, it’s a neat bit of bike that kind of ticks a lot of boxes for the next-wave small capacity Adventure machine six months before the official KTM 390 Adventure comes out.
Shown for the first time on Motoroids.com, the bike took four months to build and is based on the Austrian firm’s 2018 390 Duke road bike. HDT took the forks off a Royal Enfield Himalayan, added spoked wheels with knobbly runner, fitted a new exhaust, put on a tough sump guard bashplate, used big engine-protection bars, changed the headlight, fitted a tall front mudguard and a big screen along with the wide handlebars.

The result is a cracking small Adventure bike that still kicks out 43.5bhp and looks absolutely terrific. If the finally-official 390 Adventure, which we first brought you spy shots of back in 2016 (admittedly, we were told that the bike would appear in 2018… seems delayed a bit, huh?) ends up looking like this on the road then we’re fans already.
Here’s a video walkaround of the bike. Pretty cool, HDT lads:
