On Sunday 4th May, more than 3,000 bikers descended on North Weald Airfield, home of the Herts Air Ambulance for the Essex Motorcycle Show, sponsored by ICE Patch, raising over £5,000 for the life-saving helicopter making it the most successful show to date.
The Show, now in its 9th year, was held at Weald Aviation at North Weald Airfield for the very first time, which also was the finish point for the Herts Air Ambulance Motorcycle Run on the same day. Not only did this bring in more bikers to the event but allowed the bikers on the run to benefit from the amazing attractions at this popular show.
There was plenty of entertainment to amuse the crowds throughout the day including; live music from Squabbler and Harlow based band Guilty Pleasures, plus motorcycle gymkhana for riders to test their riding dexterity with Anglia Bike Training.
There were 45 trade stands by major manufacturers including Colchester Kawasaki, Jack Lilley Motorcycles, Jim Aim Motorcycles, Cannon BMW, Lakeside Harley Davidson and Newcombe Bros. Essex Police launched their Bike Safe season with many signing up to take advantage of the workshops throughout the season. Sign up for a Bike Safe Course online.
