If you want one of the uber-cruisers from the Hinckley firm then you’d better have a cool £20,000 in your pocket (a bit more than that if you want the top-spec GT model).
£700 price difference
To get your hands on the new 2020 Rocket 3 R it’ll cost you £19,500 and the Rocket 3 GT will set you back another £700 on top of that, with the higher-spec model going for £20,200.

Loads of torque
Both bikes will be in dealers from early next year when you can go and get a test ride on the new big bike. It’s new 2,500cc triple engine has the highest torque of any production bike with 163lbft (221Nm) of oooof on tap @ 4,000rpm. It kicks out 165bhp @ 6000rpm which is 11% more than the previous Rocket 3.

At more than 40kg lighter than its predecessor and equipped with Brembo Stylema monobloc brakes and fully adjustable Showa suspension, the Rocket 3 now also gets a second generation TFT screen, optimised cornering ABS and Traction Control, four riding modes (Road, Rain, Sport and Tider-configurable), all-LED lighting, Hill Hold Control and cruise control too.
It also has a fat 240mm rear tyre.
