YESSS! The french are making these PEANUT roundabouts instead of crossroads. Instant little racetrack, anyone?

This is a 'Peanut' roundabout in France. Note the great Tarmac, the great corners, the handy 'pitlane' to the left. It's like a more simple Mallory (aside from the cars)

Look at this and tell us that you aren’t thinking the same thing. It’s even got a pitlane (to the left) with handy parking spots for a bit of spanner-twirling when you’re not out on a lap.

OK, we’re getting carried away – but come on, these might be the latest idea for easing up traffic flow instead of a stop/start crossroads but it’s basically four perfect corners with a fast flip/flop on the longer straights.

Awesome.
