Zero Motorcycles has been teasing the release of its new Zero SR/S sportbike – and all eyes are on February 24th for the big reveal.
At this stage, all we’ve got is the date and a smoky image of the new machine – but connecting a few dots, it’s not too difficult to work out what we’ve got to look forward to next month.
Based around Zero’s recently released SR/F naked motorcycle – the SR/S is widely rumoured to be a full faired version of the same machine. And if we’re right, we should expect similar performance from the new electric sportbike – so we’re looking at a 12.6 kWh battery pack as standard, 82 miles of range at 70mph, 110bhp at 5000rpm, 140 lb-ft of torque throughout the rev range and a £18,500 price tag.
It’s a really exciting development from the ever growing electric motorcycle manufacturer – and if the reviews of the SR/F are anything to go by, the new Zero Motorcycles SR/S should be one hell of a machine. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait too much longer to get the inside scoop, with the reveal all set for February 24th.
