Check this out, it’s a video from our friends at Japanese magazine Young Machine of their top-end test on the new Honda Fireblade.

Riding the bike at the Japan Automobile Research Institute (JARI), specifically on the very high speed Yatabe test course, the bike was put through a series of high-speed runs with the test rider launching the bike out of corners in different gears to see how it performs with the throttle pinned.

With a straight of 1.5km long, the Blade is given its legs over and over again with the sound of the howling 214hp motor. The video is below and it’s well worth a watch, especially to see how punchy this bike is from 9 to 14000rpm.

The speedo on the Honda Fireblade stops rotating at 299kmh (that's 186mph), but there's clearly a lot more happening from the motor.
