A production Panigale V4 S took first place (and set a new lap record) at the Cremona round of the MotoEstate trophy in Italy – beating some stiff competition.
Ok, so it might be amateur racing – but there are some seriously fast riders on some seriously fast bikes involved in the MotoEstate trophy. That’s why Ducati’s shouting about the fact Luca Salvadori brought along a stock Panigale V4 S (equipped with a Ducati Performance racing exhaust system, Pirelli slicks and racing brake pads) and took the win against some specialist race-ready machines.
Notably, the V4 S took the win against a full Superbike-specification Aprilia RSV4 which was ridden by Fabrizio Perotti (who’s no slouch himself, we’re told) – which surely goes to prove the prowess of the production Ducati and showcases to the racing world just how capable it is on the racetrack without too much messing about. Impressive stuff, right?
