Here’s another victim to the nearly global lockdown on sporting events as part of a containment phase of Coronavirus treatment.

Planned to take place on April 18 and 19, the 43rd edition of the 24-hour endurance race has now been moved to September 5 and 6.

Planned pre-event tests set-up for the teams taking part in the Endurance World Cup, scheduled for March 31 and April 1 are cancelled.

France’s ruling this week that no event where more than 1000 people are in attendance can go ahead has been used as the reason for the postponement of one of the world’s most famous endurance motorcycle races.
