What type of riding do you do: Mix of motorways, A and B Roads

Tell us about the engine: It’s punchy, flexible, and has good engine braking – you can drop a gear for a series of bends without needing to brake and sweep through smoothly, using the excellent handling.

What’s the chassis like? As above, the package of engine, chassis, suspension and good tyres work excellently together.

What’s it like to ride? Great fun when you want to play: you can throw it on its ear and it comes back for more. It’s also very practical for long distance – 500 mile days – so a good commuter.

Give us three good points: Not too fast (my licence always felt in jeopardy with my ZX9R); very comfortable (armchair like); Lots of FUN!

And three bad ones: Slightly high for the short legged (set rear suspension on lowest and slide the forks through the yokes by 40mm); weight; weight.
