Spy snaps of Bimota’s 200bhp supercharged Impeto naked appear

Here’s the first pictures of the Supercharged Bimota Impeto big naked.

The bike has been snapped as it was being readied to be shipped to the Tokyo Motor Show which starts next week.

This is the bike that Bimota first showed at last year’s Milan motorcycle show but back then it wasn’t supercharged, this is the first time the Diavel-powered bike has the supercharged unit fitted. According to the Italians, the supercharger boosts the torque from the original motor by 15 -20%.

Aesthetically, the bike looks almost identical to the Impeto we saw in Milan but look at the motor and you can see the aluminium cover which covers the gears that connect the compressor’s clutch.

The compressor is driven by a cascade of gears inside the clutch housing and is mounted inside the ‘L’ of the cylinders so as not to affect weight distribution. The electronic brain to look after the supercharging activation is also housed in the self-contained unit.

Bimota hasn’t let slip about the overall power increase of the 160bhp-ish original motor should be boosted by up to 20%- ish then it’s plausible that this big naked from Bimota could be kicking out between 190 and 200bhp.
