Renowned chassis builder Nico Bakker’s just revealed his latest project; and it’s a custom BMW K1600GT that’s been turned into an adventure-ready GS.

Nico Bakker of Bakker Framebouw is a big name in the world of motorcycle racing – having worked for the likes of Giacomo Agostini and Phil Read back in the ‘70s. But in recent years, he’s moved away from racing with a range of street legal machines built around BMWs.

The Dutchman’s latest project sees a BMW K1600GT kitted out like an R1200GS – and we think it looks great. The big news is that it’s powered by BMW’s six cylinder engine which kicks out 160bhp, but looking closely at the images it’s clear that a lot of work has gone into kitting out the K1600GT to look like a serious bit of adventure-ready machinery.
