Electric Motorcycle manufacturer Zero has announced 2022 will see updates to its SR range from the standard S, flagship SR/F roadster and the newer SR/S sportsbike.

For 2022, both models will have a standard 14.4kW battery with 140ft-Ib of torque, 110hp, and the option of upgrading to a 15.6kW battery which gives a range of around 169 miles ‘stop-starting’ around town and 80 miles out on the open road. It comes with a 6W integral charger meaning you can charge from empty to full in under 3 hours. That said, it’s unlikely you’ll be ‘empty’ so the three hours is kind of ‘worse case scenario’. Also, upgrades (see below) can bring charging times down to just 60 minutes (to 95%).

Zero comes with its own ‘operating system’ – named Cypher III+ – which gives the 17.3kW battery option a range of up to 187 miles around town, plus the top of the range 20.9kW Power Tank option, which raises it further to 227 miles.
