MoreBikes caught up with 25 year old Orthodontic dental nurse and Isle of Wight resident Tahnee Attwood. Tahnee rides (takes deep breath..) K6 GSXR 750, Yamaha R1, KTM 500 exc, Honda CRF450X in dirt set up and CRF450R in Supermoto set up! Luckily, she took time off riding all these lovely bikes to tell us about her Dainese Impeto Motorcycle Gloves! Take it away, Tahnee!

Tahnee Attwood talks to MoreBikes for Ladies Who Ride

“I’d been looking to get new motorcycle gloves for a while after my old ones started to rip in places. I had been looking at Dainese motorcycle gloves for a while to go nicely with my Dainese one piece motorcycle leathers. I came across these Dainese Impeto Gloves and luckily around the same sort of time I actually won a competition with Bikestopuk which enable me to get my hands (excuse the pun!) on these super gloves. They usually retail at around £110.00 and you can purchase them from most Dainese supplying stores such as Bikestopuk, Sportsbikeshop, Demon Tweeks etc.

I would say these gloves are generally for drier weather wear as being leather they would probably absorb the water in heavy rain. These gloves are unisex and are really comfortable, even when brand new I didn’t have a lot of difficulty getting them on like you do with some brands. The gloves are made from goatskin and I like that the gloves have hard armoured knuckles, soft armoured fingers and wrists, reinforced palms and have full wrist support when wearing, with the added extra of an additional strap. The gloves surprisingly also still allow you to have a lot of feel from the throttle which isn’t the case with some gloves I have worn in the past.

The extra strap across the wrist can be a little annoying as you have to loosen this off before you can take the gloves off but then that also has its benefits to keeping the glove secure around your hands if the worst does happen. I have recently done a supermoto trackday in these gloves and had no issue riding around the track with them, they are extremely comfortable and even held up well when my bike decided it wanted me to have an unscheduled pit stop and chuck me off! There was minor damage to the gloves just a few scrapes here and there but no rips or tears present. If you are looking for a brand new pair of gloves I would definitely recommend them for comfort and durability.
