Here’s the new Kymco K Rider 400. Looks familiar, huh? That’s because it’s heavily based on the Kawasaki ER4n, the smaller sibling of the popular ER6n.
Kymco has retained the bikes heart; the 399 cc, parallel twin, liquid cooled, fuel injected engine, capable of 42 bhp at 9,500rpm and 37Nm at 7,500 rpm. The frame, exhaust system and the swing-arm have been modified to work for the new bike, but still have their origins in the ER4n. Suspension and brakes are all new.
The styling has been updated with a dual headlight, LED rear light and nice sharp lines.
The bike is initially aimed at the Taiwanese market, but might well start to sell elsewhere too.
