The Chinese manufacturer CFMOTO is in the news again. This time they join Pierer Mobility associated brands KTM, GASGAS and Husqvarna, entering the 2022 Moto3 World Championship
CFMOTO has confirmed its presence from 2022 onwards, lining up in the Moto3 category. The list released by Dorna included a project that will have the know-how of the PrüstelGP team and will be outlined in more detail during the 16th race of the MotoGP World Championship, from 22nd to 24th of October, at the circuit of Misano.
And there’s more, starting with the possible presence, maybe 2022, of the brand new CFMOTO 300 SR-R in the Supersport 300 category of the Superbike World Championship, confirming the brand’s competitive capacity. We know the brand is competitive already in the UK, recently clinching the Standard Twins championship with pilot Tommy Downes on the No Limits Racing NLR calendar.
TT ace Gary Johnson may have been the catalyst to all this with his 4th place at the Isle of Man TT in recent years on a CFMOTO, missing a podium by just two seconds.
CFMOTO have also been busy in the UK too, lanching a new model, the 700CL-X. The brand have also backed their machines to be reliable as well as race-competitive, increasing the warranty from two years to an impressive four.
