It’s been confirmed that motorcycle and scooter dealers can open their doors from June 1.

The MCIA received confirmation that dealerships can reopen from the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy – following confusion caused by the government’s original statement which only referred to car dealers.
Rumours suggested that motorcycle and scooter retailers would have to wait until the June 15, alongside other non-essential retail – but thankfully, that’s not the case. The MCIA has confirmed that PTW dealers can reopen alongside their four-wheeled counterparts.
Speaking about the news, the MCIA said: “This is excellent news for the industry, and the MCIA look forward to vehicle, clothing and accessory sales quickly ramping up to their pre-Covid levels and beyond.”
