This is the final part of the 2020 BMW 850 puzzle, revealed by some spot-on design patents released in Brazil.
The F 850 R is joining the stable next to the F 850 RS that we first told you about last November. These designs were posted on the Italian outlet Moto.It.
What you can see from the designs is that the styling of the middleweight is straight from the current R 1250 R’s copybook, the headlight looks virtually identical to the bigger bike’s too and the entire seat unit has been swept up and narrowed significantly.

Like the design patents we’ve already brought you for the F 850 RS, the F 850 R gets a new motor with new mounting points to improve road manners.
The bike will join the F 850 RS as part of the 2020 line-up which is expected to be unveiled at the EICMA show in Milan which starts on November 5.
