Honda CB650R and CBR650R get updates for 2021

Honda have announced that the CB650R and CBR650R are getting big updates, with new suspensions and Euro5 certification, plus a paint job!

The major update for the 650 twins is improvements to the bikes’ handling abilities, with the application of 41mm Showa Separate Function Big Piston USD forks. Honda say the forks will offer a big improvement on the front end feel.

The new Euro5 compliance rules means Honda have had to make several changes to the engine including revisions to the ECU, cam lobes, intake timing, exhaust pipe, catalyser and silencer, as well as the addition of a crank pulsar.

The bikes also alters its dashboard for easier reading plus a USB-C socket under the seat for faster charging.

In terms of design, there are changes to smaller side panels while the rear mudguard is steel rather than nylon plastic. The bikes will be available in a new colour, Pearl Smoky Gray, as well as Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic, Candy Chromosphere Red, Matt Jeans Blue Metallic.
